The major attractions in Kathmandu are the UNESCO World Heritage Sites and are of tremendous religious and historical importance. The Durbar Squares filled with ancient artefacts, palaces, temples, and museums are a great reflection of Nepalese history and culture. Similarly, the sacred Hindu temple of Pashupatinath, Swayambhunath and Boudhanath stupa showcase the cultural and religious diversity of Nepal and the harmony that exists between them. On the second leg of the tour, Pokhara calls the participants. Pokhara, which is 200 kilometres west of Kathmandu, is another spectacular city. While Kathmandu is culturally rich, Pokhara stands out for its natural beauty. Lying at the lap of Mt. Machhapuchhre (6997m) with several mesmerizing lakes in its vicinity, Pokhara is a serene location offering exceptionally beautiful views of the Himalayan peaks. Several iconic locations such as Davis Fall, BindyabasiniTemple, Seti River Gorge, Mahendra cave, Peace Pagoda, and Phewa Lake are not to be missed in Pokhara.
