An early morning flight takes you from Kathmandu to Lukla today. This scenic journey lasts around 30-35 minutes and offers you breathtaking sights of the mountains and valleys. Upon landing in Lukla, you can take some time to explore the quaint town. 

Your trek then begins with a scenic trail leading to Phakding. Throughout the journey, you'll be treated to mesmerizing views of the Himalayas. After a few hours of walking, you will arrive in Phakding. Overnight stay in Phakding.

After a hearty breakfast, today you set out towards Namche Bazaar. You'll cross several suspension bridges and follow the banks of the Dudhkoshi River. The trail takes you through small Sherpa villages and into the renowned Sagarmatha National Park. 

After having a quick lunch break at Jorsalle village, you will continue through pine forests and uphill trails to finally reach the bustling Namche Bazaar. It takes a total walk of around 5 to 6 hours for you to arrive in Namche Bazaar. Overnight stay in Namche Bazaar.

Crossing Mong La and descending to Phortse Tenga, you'll be treated to stunning views of Taboche (6,367m) and Chola Tse (6,337m) along the route. As you walk through the rhododendron forests and have a gradual climb, the trail will soon lead you to Dole for your overnight stay at a guesthouse.

Today, the trail leads you to Gokyo from Machhermo. Setting out after breakfast, the trail first takes you over a ridge that offers an even more enticing view. 

As you gaze upon the majestic sight of Mt. Choyu and the incredible vista of Khantenga Gorge, you will continue the walk toward Gokyo Valley. Soon, you will descend to the riverside before ascending to the Ngozumpa Glacier's terminal hill. After a higher climb, you'll arrive at Gokyo, where you'll spend the night in a cozy guesthouse. The walk today is around 5 to 6 hours until you make it to the Gokyo Valley. Overnight stay in Gokyo.

It is a big day today as you will be crossing the Renjo La Pass. Begin your day early with a walk alongside Gokyo Lake to reach the base of Renjo La Pass. 

It is a challenging walk to the pass which is mostly uphill on a rugged trail. After a few hours of uphill walk, you will reach the top of the pass which rewards you with awe-inspiring views of a wide range of mountains. You can take some time to relish the breathtaking sight and capture the moments. You will then descend through varied terrain to reach Lunden, which is a serene spot on the route to Thame. Overnight stay in Lunden.

Today, you will head to Thame from Lunden. It is mostly descending and takes around 4 to 5 hours for you to arrive in Thame. You will walk as you descend through Yak grazing areas and picturesque landscapes. 

After a while, you'll reach the village of Marulung, adorned with Tibetan influences. There, you can visit the oldest monastery in the Khumbu region before spending the night in Thame's guesthouse. Overnight stay in Thame.

It is a day to head back to Namche Bazaar from Thame. Embark on a pleasant walk back to Namche Bazaar after breakfast in Thame. On the way, you will pass by several other villages, and as you pass through Thamo village, the greenery and tree lines return. 

The familiar surroundings provide a comforting journey back to Namche Bazaar. It takes a walk of around 5 to 6 hours for you to arrive in Namche Bazaar from Thame. Overnight stay in Namche Bazaar.

As for drinking water, it can be purchased at teahouses, but it's recommended to use water purification tablets or filters to ensure your safety. It's also a good idea to carry a reusable water bottle to minimize plastic waste.
