Please thoroughly go through our terms and conditions before booking your trip with us to have a sounder travel experience! These terms and conditions are effective from the date you book the trip us:
GENERAL BOOKING CONDITIONS
For Nepal, Tibet, and Bhutan Tours. You should deliver a photocopy of your passport and a 20% deposit of the total cost of the trip at the time of trip booking. The 20% deposit amount is non-refundable once you make the down payment for the trip and will be considered as a trip cancellation fee if you cancel the trip any day after the booking.
The remaining amount can be paid upon your arrival in Kathmandu before you set out for your trek/tour.
Note: As for Bhutan and Tibet tours, you need to pay the balance amount 20 days before the departure date if you plan to fly to those countries directly. We reserve our right to cancel your trip if you are unable to make your payment within the given time.

LAST-MINUTE BOOKING
We also accept last-minute trip bookings. You can book a trip to Nepal just three days before the trip departure dates. However, last-minute bookings may not be acceptable in the case of the Bhutan or Tibet trips.
POSTPONE THE TRIP
Written notice should be sent to us if you are unable to travel on the allocated days due to any reason.
FREE TRIP POSTPONE
After confirmation of the trip, if you are unable to travel on the allocated dates due to COVID-19. You can postpone the trip to later dates, whichever seems safe and convenient for you to travel again. You can choose any dates that are suitable for you to travel. We are offering our clients a trip postponement without applying any charges.
CANCELLATION POLICY
If you cancel your trip after booking, please be notified that the 20% deposit you made upon booking the trip will be considered a trip cancellation fee. And this policy is effectively applicable right after you confirm your booking with us. The 20% deposit is non-refundable.
And if you have paid more than 20% of the trip deposit, we shall reduce the 20% trip deposit from that amount, and the remaining balance will be refunded to you via the original payment method.
RISK AND LIABILITIES
All the Nepal, China, and Bhutan tours are operated under the rules and regulations of the tourism board of the respective country. We are not accountable for any changes or cancellations of the trip under unavoidable circumstances like changes in the rules and regulations of the country, any government restrictions, natural disasters, political instability, cancellations of flights, delays, sickness or accidents, breakdown of vehicles, etc. Any extra cost incurred due to such events should be settled by the clients themselves. Therefore, travel insurance is highly recommended.
INCOMPLETE TOUR
We are not responsible for any reimbursements in case of any incomplete tour, trek, or expedition, whatever the reason from the customer’s side.
UNFORESEEN CIRCUMSTANCES
If your trip gets canceled due to unexpected circumstances like natural disasters, war, or unfavorable climatic conditions, we will arrange another trip for you. So even if the trip you booked gets canceled, we will be arranging a different tour for you and your money will not go in vain.
TRAVEL INSURANCE
It is compulsory to have a comprehensive travel insurance package for all our clients to join any of our adventures. The insurance must cover all medical expenses, personal accidents, emergency evacuations, trip cancellations, loss of gears and natural calamity, theft of or damage to baggage, and personal effects.
FLIGHT DELAY/CANCELLATION
During bad weather conditions, flight delays and cancellations are likely to happen often in remote areas and particularly in the Everest region, the Annapurna region, Dolpo, Simikot, and Jumla regions. Therefore, it is suggested to have some extra days separated and carry additional money to buy food and accommodations in case of delays. Himalayan Recreation will not be responsible for any kind of additional expenses. Therefore, please plan accordingly.
DURING THE TOUR
If you commit any unlawful act during your tour and are compelled to leave Nepal, Himalayan Recreation is not liable for any refunds.
WARNING
All our above terms and conditions are applicable only if you book your trip directly with us. If you book the trip through any agents or third party, you shall be liable to their terms and conditions.
