  • rating starEverest Base camp, EBC and Gokyo Lake Chola Pass Trekking

Our 17 Day in Nepal was one of the best time in our life. We chose this Everest Base camp, EBC and Gokyo Lake Chola Pass Trekking packages from Himalayan Recreation by the advice of Mr Bishnu. Before we were just looking for Everest Base camp but my friend want to go Gokyo lake but I had dream to go EBC sand I was afraid by Chola pass (5400m), when Bishnu convinced me that wont be matter then i confirmed this trip with them and now i find it was my right decision. it was our first adventure journey and did not know much about Nepal so we follow Himalayan Recreation and they did all for our betterment. A guide provided by a company was understandable, Helpful and flexible. And familiar there local people, that made us secured in Nepal.
Since the second day, we started to see a great view of mountains including Everest all the way up and down. Most recommend please is Kalapattha 5555m, and Gokyo lake in this trip but the Base camp was not as we expected because there was cloudy.
All the thanks to the team for such a wonderful trip, will back soon!

  • rating starGreat Gokyo Lake / chola pass trek

"Nothing is impossible", Me and my friend just finished 18 - day Groyo LAke and chola pass trek in the everest region. I had knee problem before strating the trip and I was a bit afraid about my health condition because it is really challenging to walk above 5000m height in the Himalayas. The mountain views were stunning and landscape was beautiful. Highly recommended experience !

  • rating starVery Good

Thank you very much for 2 weeks with many many amazing things:
    - Breathtaking view
    - Hail
    - Snowing
    - Very nice tour guide and supporters
    - Delicious Nepali food
But still have something not really good in my opinion:
    - Some guest house isn't clean and not have enough facilities
    - No drink for lunch and dinner
Anw, almost things are very good. I will contact you for EBC soon.

  • rating starTrip of a lifetime! EBC 2018 with Himalayan Recreation

My partner and I signed up for the 14 day Everest Base camp trek in the Himalayas with Himalayan Recreation. Right from when we stepped off the plane we were taken care of by Bishnu and his team. Not only were we picked up from the airport and taken to our hotel but our sherpa Ashok came down especially to take us to purchase the last minute items we needed for the trek. Bishnu organised a guided tour around Kathmandu for us with a very knowledgable guide and we visited a number of great sites including the monkey temple. At this point we were dying to try some local cuisine and even though it wasn't part of the itinerary, the team jumped at the chance to show us their local dishes.

Then came the trekking! As it was the end of the season we were lucky enough to have our sherpa Ashok all to ourselves. Ashok is an incredibly knowledgable, thoughtful and friendly guy who was quick to answer all our questions and tell us all about the Nepalese culture. He made sure all our needs were taken care of and most nights could be found filling up our plates with extra dal bhat (with a cheeky grin on his face as he pushed a little extra rice onto our plates after we'd said 'yup that's enough' - after all dal bhat power 24 hour!). Ashok was really flexible with the itinerary and was more than willing to change it to suit our pace. The Himalayan mountains were absolutely breathtaking and combined with the wonderful Nepalese people and the culture we got to experience this trip was hands down the most rewarding trek of our lives so far.

We could not recommend Himalayan Recreation and especially Ashok highly enough. Not only did we have an incredible trekking experience but we are proud to say we have gained two very close friends in Ashok and his beautiful wife.

Manaslu is one of the most stunningly beautiful areas I have ever set foot in, and Himalayan recreation treks were the perfect company to experience it with.
Very friendly and organised you feel that you are dealing with genuine honest people who care about their clients and also the regions in which they running trekking. Himalayan Treks is a far cry from the touts who line the streets of Thamel!
Bishnu was always helpful and on hand to answer any questions we had- even meeting up with me a couple of weeks prior to the trip to discuss the route!
Uttam was a knowledgable and caring guide and I feel that we finished the trek as friends.
would very much reccomend this company- they are transparent and trustworthy!

Another incredible experience trekking in Nepal!! Bishnu organized a beautiful trip through Langtang Valley and to climb Yala Peak for me and friends. Our guide Ashok, along with Lakpa and Bim, were all so amazing, fun to be with, knowledgeable and organized, and lead us through the journey with beautifully kind and supportive hearts! Thank you so much, and I'll be back for more adventures with you next year!

  • rating star14 day EBC trek April 2018

Booked this trip via "Grab One" website. Link to Himalaya Recreation website was a bit confusing so thought some things included, like Kathmandu entry fees, that were actually not included. Also had a negotiation with Bishnu on day one about paying a "single premium" that I was not expecting. But all settled amicably.
The trek to EBC was fantastic. Guide Varat and head porter Na Kumar were outstanding. Helpful, humorous, knowledgeable, empathetic. Food was simple and adequate. It is not a gourmet experience but local dhal bhat was always good. "24 hour dal bhat power" a catch phrase. Accomodation was again basic but fine. Make sure you have a good sleeping bag. Scenery is amazing. Days sometimes pretty tough but always rewarding.
Flight to Lukla was a bit nervy. That runway is short!
I had a great time with a group of six other trekkers. Spent about NR25,000 (US$250)over 14 days of the trek on water, beer food etc.Tipped US$100 to the guide & porters. (Total, not each. Was at upper end of what is "normal").
Kathmandu airport is a bit chaotic. Allow plenty of time.
Having cards and a book for downtime at the lodges is a good idea.
Highly recommend this trek. But you best be fit to get maximum enjoyment.

It was best experience in my life))))

My guide picked me up in airport, great greetings and lovely welcome!
Then, manager Bishnu was very nice and helpful. My baggage was delayed and Himalayan recreation managers made everything to help me to deal with it!
First day I did the trip around Kathmandu, was well organised and very interesting, I learned a lot about culture and history of Nepal.
Next day we travelled to Lukla, and here all the fun begun. I had the best guide and best porter ever - Ashok and Ganesh. Very helpful and cheerful people, took great care of me and made my trip unforgettable.
Now, about the business - in my opinion they are doing everything to please you - choice of tea houses on the way, places to stop for lunch and everything, I cannot thank my guide Ashok enough - he was very knowledgeable, interesting, and I felt like home with him!
Will definitely strongly recommend Himalayan recreation to everyone! Thank you, Bishnu, Ashok and Ganesh again! See you soon!!
