Weather & Temperature of Everest Base Camp during Monsoon

The weather of Everest base camp during monsoon is quite wet as this is the reason for rainfall. The months that come in the monsoon are June, July & August. These months are also called summer in Nepal. During this time of the year, the temperature slightly drops due to frequent rainfall. Rainfalls in lowlands &due to that in the morning time the weather gets and cloud may come and may rain during the day in upper land. During the monsoon, the temperature goes up to 25 degrees C on sunny days and it may go down to -15 degrees C at night time but the average temperature is 18 degrees C. Even though most people won’t recommend you to trek during this season because of frequent rainfall & falls in temperature but besides that, you can get one of the most beautiful & majestic views of  Mount Everest during this season due to the clear & bright sky in the morning.

You may have heard a lot of people saying that trekking to Everest base camp in Monsoon is not the right decision. Although it isn’t suggested to trek during this season. Despite all the disadvantages of trekking to Everest base camp during this season, there are lots of advantages of trekking during this season. There are than other seasons which allow you to enjoy your trek fully without any disturbance. You’ll also get the full attention of locals during this season as there are fewer tourists. The weather gets clear in the morning allowing you to view the most spectacular views of the Himalayas which is worth all the hard work of trekking. No matter what season it is, you shouldn’t forget to take all the necessary trekking requirements with you to make yourself comfortable during your trek.
